GrabMyBooks enables you to grab content from the web sites you visit (or RSS/Atom feeds) and to put it later in your eBook reader. While you are navigating you can select content and add it to your book. Each content added is called an article. The articles can then be edited, ordered and given titles. When you feel like your book is ready you can get the corresponding ePub file and then put it into your device.
Once GrabMyBooks plugin is installed and firefox has been restarted, the following additions have been made to your browser:
- A new entry appears in the 'Tools' menu.
A new button is positioned next to the right of the address/search bar.
The same menu pops up after a click on the button or the entry in the 'Tools' menu. This menu contains 5 menu items allowing you to navigate between the several screens of GrabMyBooks.
- The contextual menu now has more icons (when you right click on a page).
The Grab my book item takes you to the book editor.
The Grab selection item is meant to add the selected text as an article to the book. This item only appears when a content is selected on the page.
The Grab link item allows you to grab automatically the content of the page referenced by the link you clicked on with the right button. This item appears only when a link is right clicked.
The Grab this page item grabs the content of the current page if clicked. The content is detected automatically and added to the book as a new article.
